Mollybloom Bluegrass Band: Music
These Days
(Mollybloom)
written by David Dahl, sung by Clark Blanchard
Friday on the boulevard, four lane traffic quickly rolling by,
Week of struggles come and gone, make my way out to the countryside
Not long ago, but much younger then, I called this big city the promised land
Where did it go
These days, as I stop to think about this town,
How it sets my soul to wander.
These days, when the wheels stop spinning round and round
I can hear the country call
High on a hillside, watching clouds slowly drifting by,
Silence that surrounds me, serenity, it spreads out far and wide.
I am still amazed that of all these sights, the beauty of the neon lights
Is what I've come to know
These days as I stop to think about the town,
How it sets my soul to wander.
These days, when the wheels stop spinning round and round
I can hear the country call
Living in the fast lane, keeps you going nowhere fast
And all those years of eight to five, I've finally come to find
That nothing's ever good enough, without some peace of mind
These days, as I stop to think about this town,
How it sets my soul to wander.
These days, when the wheels stop spinning round and round
I can hear the country call
These days, as I stop to think about this town
How it sets my soul to wander
These days, when the wheels stop spinning round and round
I can hear the country call
And I'm gone
